State of CT has approved the out of
school youth ages 16-
21 program..."YouthMATERS" at
the South Norwalk Community
Center for 2005-06.
The NEON Sports and Recreation
Clinics surpassed expectations with
forty-four youth participating in the
basketball, and soccer clinics.
Congratulations is in order for the
"Norwalk Community Soccer Club",
who with NEON's recommendation
enrolled over 120 South Norwalk
community youth in recreational
soccer at Ryan Park, and Nathaniel Ely School fields. Hence
bringing soccer to the Youth in South Norwalk Community, on fields
that haven't seen use in years. Fall Recreational league registration
starts soon.
Through the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment initiative, and
in-house programs NEON has sponsored close to 45 summer youth
employment opportunities during this summer of 2005.
