Teacher Aide

To assist the classroom teacher with planning and executing activities that will promote the development of children through the implementation of best practices developmentally; to be aware of and attentive to the needs of the individual child; to promote health, nutrition and education of the child and to attend to their safety and welfare; to develop and actively maintain positive communications with parents, to maintain a clean, organized, healthy, and safe classroom.

Requirements are:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in working with children less than six years of age.
  • Within six months of your employment hire date, you must be enrolled in an Early Childhood Education class or pursuing your CDA to ensure continued employment.

NEON, Inc. is currently accepting applications for the position of Family Outreach Worker for its Child Development Programs.

Family Outreach Worker

The family outreach worker is responsible for implementing the core family partnership, parent involvement, and community partnership functions for the center based option of a Head Start Program. The Family Outreach Worker recruits and enrolls children for the program and then uses family development model to support and assist a caseload of families as they identify and meet goals they establish in Family Partnership Agreements. This position also assist with the completion of the child health required screening and assessments. This position may involve reassignment of caseloads and / or center location as deemed necessary for program operations.

Requirements are: FDC and / or AA / AS in social work, education or related field. BA/BSW preferred.
