NEON Seeks Your Support As We Provide a Helping Hand to Our Neighbors in Need

NEON’s mission is to provide economically disadvantaged residents of the greater Norwalk and Stamford area with the range of community, social, and economic development and emergency assistance services needed to enhance the quality of life, increase self-sufficiency, and reduce the incidence of poverty.

NEON and her sister organization CTE, the Committee on Training and Employment in Stamford merged into one agency on September 29th, 2012 combining their staff and program services to serve low income communities in lower Fairfield County.

Together NEON serves low income residents who reside in the Greater Norwalk Area: Norwalk, New Canaan, Weston, Westport & Wilton – and in the Greater Stamford Area: Stamford, Greenwich & Darien

Support NEON’s services and programs, striving to assist low income area families on their journey to self-sufficiency:

  1. Adult and Youth Employment and Training programs,
  2. Energy Assistance,
  3. Head Start and Child Development programs,
  4. Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP),
  5. Two Neighborhood Centers and three after school programs,
  6. Criminal Justice and Alternative in the Community programs,
  7. Eviction and foreclosure prevention programs (EFPP & HPRP),
  8. Single Residence Occupancy (SRO),
  9. State Administered General Assistance referral program (SAGA),
  10. Three Halfway House programs.(2 in Norwalk and 1 in Waterbury)
  11. A Legal Aid office is also housed at NEON’s Norwalk offices.

  13. Workforce Development
  14. Family Services
  15. Viewpoint Recovery Substance Abuse Prevention Program.
