Beginning in elementary school, our goal for all youngsters is to motivate them to reach for a post-secondary education and to provide the support they need to do so successfully. We have a licensed after school program for kids through age 12. We also have a computer lab, and other programs for the low-income, at-risk children of Norwalk.

Our centers at South Main Street, Ely Avenue and Flax Hill Road endeavor to provide activities and programs to facilitate positive development of the children, their families, and the community by providing educational, social, cultural and recreational programs.

We believe that every child can succeed in school and at work, and grow into well-rounded citizens who will have a positive impact on the community. We encourage the involvement of parents and community leaders to help motivate children to reach their fullest potential.

Through the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment initiative, and in-house programs NEON has sponsored close to 45 summer youth employment opportunities during the past several summers.
